ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണ തത്വം : ദാമ്പത്യം

ഒരിക്കൽ ഭഗവാൻ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണനും ഗോപന്മാരും ഗോക്കളെ മേച്ചു വളരെ ദൂരം നടന്നതിനാൽ ഗോപന്മാർക്കു വളരെ വിശപ്പും ദാഹവും മൂലം ക്ഷീണം അനുഭവപ്പെടുകയും അവർ കൃഷ്ണനോട് തങ്ങളുടെ സ്ഥിതിയെപ്പറ്റി പറയുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഗോപന്മാരുടെ വിഷമം മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ ഭഗവാൻ അവിടെ അടുത്തു തന്നെയുള്ള ഒരു അശോക വൃക്ഷ ചുവട്ടിൽ എല്ലാവരെയും കൂട്ടി നിൽക്കുന്ന സമയത്തു കുറച്ചകലെയായി വേദമന്ത്രോച്ചാരണങ്ങളുടെ ധ്വനി കേൾക്കുകയാൽ തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരോട് അവിടെ കുറെ ബ്രാഹ്മണർ ഒരു യജ്ഞം നടത്തുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും നിങ്ങൾ അവിടെ ചെന്ന് കൃഷ്ണനും ബലരാമനും ഇവിടെ അടുത്തു വന്നിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും അവർക്കു വല്ലതും ഭക്ഷണം കിട്ടിയാൽ കൊള്ളാമെന്നുണ്ടെന്നു പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതായി അറിയിക്കുവാനും ഗോപബാലന്മാരോട് പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു. ഗോപബാലന്മാർ അതനുസരിച്ചു അവിടെ ചെല്ലുകയും ആ ബ്രാഹ്മണരോട് ഭഗവാൻ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചതിനെ അവരെ അറിയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. പക്ഷെ വിദ്യാമദത്താൽ പ്രഭാവിതരായിരുന്ന അവരിൽ ഇത് കോപത്തെ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയും ഗോപബാലന്മാരെ അവിടെനിന്നും ഓടിച്ചുവിടുകയും ചെയ്തു.നിരാശരായി തിരിച്ചെത്തിയ ഗോപബാലന്മാരോട് ഭഗവാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരായ ബ്രാഹ്മണിമാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്ന് ഇതേ വർത്തമാനം ഉണർത്തിക്കുന്നതിന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. കൃഷ്ണൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് കേട്ടപാടെ അവരെല്ലാം ഓടി തങ്ങളുടെ ഭർത്താക്കന്മരുടെ അടുത്തുചെന്നു ഈ കാര്യം പറഞ്ഞപ്പോഴും അവരിൽ അത് കാര്യമായ പ്രതികരണം ഒന്നും ഉളവാക്കിയില്ല. തങ്ങളുടെ ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരുടെ അജ്ഞത മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ അവർ യജ്ഞത്തിനായി തയ്യാറാക്കി വച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഭക്ഷണ സാധനങ്ങളെല്ലാമെടുത്തു ഗോപബാലന്മാരുടെ കൂടെ ഭഗവാൻ നിൽക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് പോവുകയും അവിടെയെത്തി എല്ലാം ഭഗവാന് സമർപ്പിച്ചു തങ്ങളുടെ ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരുടെ അവിവേകത്തെ പൊറുക്കണമെന്നു അപേക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഭഗവാൻ ആ ഭക്ഷണ സാധനങ്ങളെല്ലാമെടുത്തു ഗോപന്മാർക്കു നൽകി. അതിനു ശേഷം ബ്രാഹ്മണിമാരോട് നിങ്ങൾ എന്തിനാണ് ഇവിടെവരെ വന്നതെന്നും മറ്റും ചോദിച്ചു അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവരോട് തിരിച്ചുപോകാൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. പക്ഷെ അവർ തിരിച്ചുപോകാതെ അവിടെത്തന്നെ നിൽക്കുകയും ഇനി തങ്ങൾ തിരിച്ചുപോവില്ല എന്ന് ഭഗവാനോട് പറയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇവിടെ ഭഗവാൻ അവർക്കു നൽകുന്ന ഒരു ഉപദേശമുണ്ട്. ഇത് വളരെ വളരെ പ്രാധാന്യമർഹിക്കുന്ന ഒന്നാണ്. ഭഗവാൻ അവരോട് പറയുന്നത് ഭർതൃമതിയായ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയുടെ ഭർതൃ സ്ഥാനത്തു നില്കുന്നത് താൻ തന്നെയാണെന്നാണ്. ഭഗവാൻ അവരോട് പറയുന്നത് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരിൽ എന്നെത്തന്നെ ദർശിക്കണമെന്നും അതിനാൽ തിരിച്ചുചെന്നു സന്തോഷത്തോടുകൂടി ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരോട് കൂടി സന്തോഷകരമായി ഭഗവദ്ധ്യാനത്തോടുകൂടി ജീവിക്കുക എന്നുമാണ്. ''യാവത് പവനോ നിവസതി ദേഹേ" എന്ന ശങ്കരാചാര്യ സ്വാമികളുടെ ശ്ലോകം ഈ ഘട്ടത്തെ ആധാരമാക്കിയുള്ളതാണ്. ശങ്കരാചാര്യ സ്വാമികളുടെ സൂക്ഷ്മ ദർശിത്വം എത്രയേറെ ഉണ്ട് എന്നുള്ളത് ഇതിൽനിന്നും നമുക്ക് മനസിലാക്കാം. അപ്പോഴേക്കും തങ്ങൾക്കു പറ്റിയ തെറ്റ് മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ ബ്രാഹ്മണരും അവിടെയെത്തി ഭഗവാനെ സാഷ്ടാംഗം പ്രണമിച്ചു. ഈ ഘട്ടം വായിക്കുമ്പോൾ നമുക്ക് ആദ്യം തോന്നുന്നത് നാം അമ്പലങ്ങളിൽ എന്തിനാണ് വഴിപാട് കഴിക്കുന്നത്?അതൊക്കെ ആർക്കെങ്കിലും ദാനം ചെയ്‌താൽ പോരെ എന്നാണ്. ഇത് നമ്മുടെ മനസ്സിനെ ബാധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന താമസ്സിൽ നിന്നുദ്ഭവിക്കുന്ന ചിന്തയാണ്. ഭഗവാൻ എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ആദ്യം ഗോപന്മാരെ വേദ വിധികളോടെ യജ്ഞം ചെയ്യുന്ന ബ്രാഹ്മണരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വിടുന്നു? പലരും ഈ ലീലയെ ബ്രാഹ്മണത്വത്തെ തരംതാഴ്ത്തിക്കാണിക്കുവാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കാറുണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ ഇതിന്റെ യാഥാർഥ്യം അതല്ല. പുരുഷൻ അഹങ്കാരത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീകമാണ്. സ്ത്രീ ഭക്തിയുടെയും സമർപ്പണത്തിന്റെയും. വിവാഹം എന്നത് ഇത് രണ്ടിന്റെയും സംയോഗമാണ്. വിവാഹത്തോടുകൂടി പുരുഷൻ തന്റെ അഹങ്കാരത്തെ കുറച്ചു ഭക്തിയെയും സമർപ്പണഭാവത്തെയും തന്നിലേക്ക് സ്വീകരിക്കണം. ഇല്ലായെങ്കിൽ വെള്ളത്തിൽ വരച്ച വരക്കു സമമാണ് അവന്റെ ജീവിതം. ഉപനയനം മുതൽ വേദം ഉരുവിട്ടുപഠിക്കുന്ന ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ പ്രായേണ കർമങ്ങൾക്കു അമിതപ്രാധാന്യത്തെ നൽകി അഹങ്കാരത്തിൽ ഈശ്വരനെ തന്നെ മറന്നു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന അവസരങ്ങൾ ചിലപ്പോൾ ഉണ്ടായെന്നു വരും. നിത്യവും ഗായത്രിയും സന്ധ്യാവന്ദനവും ചെയ്യുന്ന ബ്രാഹ്മണന്റെ വിദ്യ ഈശ്വരനെ തന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ സാക്ഷാത്കരിക്കുന്നതിനു വേണ്ടിയാണ്. അതിനു കർമങ്ങളുടെ കൂടെ ഭക്തിയും അത്യാവശ്യമാണ് എന്ന് അവരെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടിയാണ് ഭഗവാൻ ഈ ലീല ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഭക്തിയില്ലാത്ത കർമം പാഴ് വേലയാണ് ത്യാഗരാജ സ്വാമികൾ തന്റെ ഒരു കീർത്തനത്തിൽ ഇതിനെ ശവത്തിനു ചെയ്യുന്ന അലങ്കാരമായിട്ടാണ് വർണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു.രണ്ടുകൂട്ടരുടെ അഹങ്കാരത്തെ ഭഗവാൻ ഇതുവരെ മാറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഒന്ന് ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്റെത് .ഇപ്പോൾ ബ്രാഹ്മണരുടേതും. ബ്രാഹ്മണർക്കു ഈ ശരീരത്തിൽ തന്നെ മൂന്നു ഭാവങ്ങളുണ്ട്. അതിനാൽ അവരുടേത് 'ത്രിവൃത്‌ ജന്മ്മം ' എന്ന് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. ശൗക്രം , സാവിത്രം ദൈത്യം എന്നിവയാണ് അവ. ഇത് മൂന്നും ബ്രാഹ്മണനിൽ അഹങ്കാരഹേതുവായി പരിണമിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാൽ അവർ ഇതിനെ മനസ്സിലാക്കി ജീവിക്കണമെന്നും ഭഗവാൻ പറയുന്നു. ആരാണോ വിഷ്ണുവിന് വിമുഖന്മാരായി കർമം ചെയ്യുന്നത് അവരുടെ കർമങ്ങൾ ത്യാഗരാജ സ്വാമി പറയുന്നതുപോലെ ശവത്തിൽ ചെയ്യുന്ന അലങ്കാരമാണ് എന്ന് മറ്റുള്ളവരും മനസ്സിലാക്കണം എന്നാണ് ഈ ലീലയുടെ ആന്തര്യം. ഭാര്യ ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരുടെ ജീവിതം പരസ്പര പൂരകങ്ങളായിരിക്കണമെന്നും ഈ ലീല നമ്മെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ദാമ്പത്യത്തിൽ രണ്ടുപേർക്കും തുല്യ പ്രാധാന്യതയുണ്ട്. അതേപോലെ ഈശ്വര സാക്ഷാത്കാരത്തിനുള്ള യജ്ഞമാണ് ദാമ്പത്യമെന്നും അത് കേവലം വൈകാരികം മാത്രമായ ഒരു ബന്ധമല്ല എന്നും ഈ ലീല നമ്മെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. അതല്ലായെങ്കിൽ അത് രാവണ മണ്ഡോദരിമാരുടേതുപോലെ ഒരു ജന്മം വ്യർത്ഥമാക്കിക്കളയാനെ ഉപകരിക്കുന്നുള്ളൂ.....ശ്രീ ഗുരുഭ്യോ നമ....

രാത്രിയില്‍ ഇരുട്ടത്ത് കയ്യിലോ വഴിയിലോ വെളിച്ചമില്ലാതെ, നാട്ടുവെളിച്ച( അമാവാസി പോലുള്ള ഇരുട്ടു രാത്രിയില്‍ നമുക്കനുഭവപ്പെടുന്ന നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും വലിയ ഗ്രഹങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നും ലഭിക്കുന്ന മങ്ങിയ വെളിച്ചം.)ത്തില്‍ നാടന്നുപോകുമ്പോള്‍ അതാ വഴിയിലൊരു പാമ്പ് വളഞ്ഞു കൂടി കിടക്കുന്നു, നടുറോട്ടില്‍ത്തന്നെ.സൂക്ഷിച്ചു നോക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അതിടക്കിടക്ക് തലപൊക്കി നോക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നുന്നു, ചീറ്റുന്നതായി തോന്നുന്നു. നമ്മൂടെ ഹൃദയം പടപടാ ഇടിക്കുന്നു, ശാസഗതി കൂടുന്നു,ശരീരം വിയര്‍ക്കാന്‍ തുടങ്ങുന്നു, പാമ്പുകളെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ട പഴയ കഥകള്‍ മനസ്സിലേക്കു വരുന്നു, വായിലെ വെള്ളം  വറ്റുന്നു, തിരിഞ്ഞോടാന്‍ പോയിട്ട് ഒന്നനങ്ങാന്‍ പോലും ശക്തിയില്ലാതെ നാം കുഴഞ്ഞു നില്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അങ്ങകലെ നിന്നതാ ഒരാള്‍ ചൂട്ടും വീശി നമുക്കെതിരെ വരുന്നു.നമ്മള്‍ പ്രയാസപ്പെട്ട് അയാളെ അറിയിക്കുന്നു വഴിയില്‍ ഒരു പാമ്പുണ്ട് എന്ന്.അയാള്‍ക്കും ‌പേടിയുണ്ടെങ്കിലും അയാളുടെ കയ്യില്‍ വെളിച്ചമുണ്ട്, ആ വെളിച്ചത്തില്‍ സൂക്ഷിച്ച് അയാളാ പാമ്പിനെ നോക്കുന്നു.അപ്പോഴതാ ആശ്വാസത്തോടെ അയാളും നാമും അറിയുന്നു - അത് പാമ്പല്ലാ ഒരു കഷണം കയറാ(രഞ്ചു)ണെന്ന്.അയാളും നമ്മളും ഒരുപോലെ ആശ്വാസം കൊള്ളുന്നു, ശ്വാസഗതി നേരെയാകുന്നു, വിയര്‍ക്കല്‍ നില്‍ക്കുന്നു, വായില്‍ വെള്ളം തിരിച്ചു കയറുന്നു, നമ്മുടെ മണ്ടത്തരം ഓര്‍ത്ത് നമൂക്കു തന്നെ ഒരിളം വളിച്ച ചിരി വിടരുന്നു, നമ്മളും അയാളും യാത്ര തുടരുന്നു.

                                     ചുരുക്കത്തില്‍ ഇതാണ് രഞ്ചു സര്‍പ്പ ന്യായം.നമ്മുടെ കണ്ണുകള്‍ മായക്കാഴ്ചകള്‍  പലതും കാണിച്ചു തന്ന് കബളിപ്പിക്കും.നമ്മുടെ കണ്ണുകളുടെ പ്രത്യേകത മൂലം നാം കാണുന്ന   കാഴ്ച്ചകള്‍ പലതും മായമായിരിക്കും.അതില്‍ നിന്നും സത്യമേതാണ് ചീത്തയേതാണ് എന്ന് നാം തനിയേ കണ്ടെത്തണം.മായക്കാഴ്ച്ചകള്‍ പലവിധത്തിലുണ്ടാകാം.നമ്മുടെ കണ്ണിന്റെ പ്രത്യേകത കൊണ്ടുണ്ടാകാം,മനസ്സിന്റെ നിലവാരം കൊണ്ടുണ്ടാകാം, മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ പ്രേരണ കൊണ്ടുമുണ്ടാകാം.നമ്മുടെ കണ്ണിന് ഒരു പാടു പ്രത്യേകതകളുണ്ട്, ആ പ്രത്യേകതകള്‍ കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ സത്യമല്ലാത്ത മിഥ്യയായ കാഴ്ച്ചകള്‍ നമുക്ക് നമ്മുടെ കണ്ണുകള്‍ കാട്ടിത്തരുന്നുണ്ട്.പിന്നൊന്ന് നമ്മുടെ മനസ്സില്‍ അടിയുറച്ചു പോയ ചില ധാരണകള്‍ നമ്മെ അന്ധമായി ചില കാര്യങ്ങളില്‍ത്തന്നെ ഉറച്ചുനില്‍ക്കാന്‍ പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കും,അവന്‍ അഭിപ്രായസ്ഥിരതയുള്ളവന്‍ എന്നൊക്കെ നമുക്ക് പേരുകിട്ടുമെങ്കിലും നമ്മള്‍ ഏറ്റവും പഴഞ്ചനും കാശിനുകൊള്ളാത്തവനായി മാറുകയും ചെയ്യും.ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു മനസ്സിനെ രൂപപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ , ദൈവവിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിലെങ്കിലും, നമ്മുടെ അഛനപ്പൂപ്പന്മാര്‍ മുതല്‍ അമ്മയമ്മൂമ്മ വരേയുള്ളവര്‍ കിണഞ്ഞു പരിശ്രമിക്കും, പുരോഹിതന്മാരും  ജ്യോത്സ്യന്മാരും ഒക്കെ ഇതില്‍ മുന്‍പന്തിയില്‍ നില്‍ക്കുന്നവരാണ്. മാധ്യമങ്ങളുടെ കാര്യം പറയാനുമില്ല.സൂക്ഷിച്ചു നോക്കിയാല്‍ ഇവരൊക്കെ അധികാരത്തിന്, അധികാരികള്‍ക്ക് ദല്ലാള്‍ പണി ചെയ്യുന്നവരാണെന്ന സത്യം നമുക്ക് മനസ്സിലാകും, പക്ഷെ അതിന് മനസ്സിനെ  സ്വതന്ത്രമാക്കുകയും വേണം.

True Devotion - the way to come to God

I shall describe the people whom I love. They have goodwill towards all living beings, and are incapable of ill will. They are friendly and compassionate. They regard nothing as their own possession, and want no position of power for themselves. They are indifferent to both pleasure and pain. They are patient, contented, and self-controlled. They are firm in faith, and their hearts and minds are utterly devoted to me.

Their serenity is constant, and cannot be disturbed by others; on the contrary, their presence makes others feel serene. They are not elated by good fortune, nor depressed by misfortune. They do not compete with others and they have no fear of failure.

They are not attracted to particular people and places; nor are they repelled by particular people and places. They are both selfless and efficient in all their actions. They have no desire for pleasure and no fear of pain. They never grieve over the death of others or the loss of material goods; they accept with equanimity every event as it occurs.

They love friends and enemies equally. They are not encouraged by praise nor discouraged by blame. Whether they are honored or despised, they remain perfectly calm. Within their hearts there is silence.

Putting Prayer in Its Place - Teachings of Jesus Christ

(Matthew 6:5-13) Jesus’ instruction on prayer in Matthew begins this way:

“Whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, because they love to pray while standing in synagogues and on street corners so that people can see them. Truly I say to you, they have their reward. But whenever you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you”.

“When you pray, do not babble repetitiously like the Gentiles, because they think that by their many words they will be heard. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him”.

“So pray this way: Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored, may your kingdom come, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”.

Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we ourselves have forgiven our debtors.

Jesus concludes His model prayer with these words: “And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one”.

The Way of Love (1 Corinthians 13:1-13)

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but I do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, but do not have love, I receive no benefit.

Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up. It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful. It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part, but when what is perfect comes, the partial will be set aside. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. But when I became an adult, I set aside childish ways. For now we see in a mirror indirectly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

She jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said: 'How is my little boy ? Is he going to be all right ? When can I see him ?'

The surgeon said, 'I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't make it..'

Sally said, 'Why do little children get cancer ? Doesn't God care any more ? Where were you, God, when my son needed you ?'

The surgeon asked, 'Would you like some time alone with your son ? One of the nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he's transported to the university.'

Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said good bye to son. She ran her fingers lovingly through his thick red curly hair. 'Would you like a lock of his hair ?' the nurse asked. Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to Sally.

The mother said, 'It was Jimmy's idea to donate his body to the University for Study. He said it might help somebody else. 'I said no at first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die. Maybe it will help some other little boy spend one more day with his Mom.' She went on, 'My Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always wanting to help others if he could.'

Sally walked out of Children's Mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy's belongings on the seat beside her in the car.

The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to enter the empty house. She carried Jimmy's belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to her son's room.

She started placing the model cars and other personal things back in his room exactly where he had always kept them. She laid down across his bed and, hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep.

It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Laying beside her on the bed was a folded letter. The letter said:

'Dear Mom,

I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say 'I Love You'. I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day. Someday we will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and stuff girls like, you know.

Don't be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are so cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know what? Jesus doesn't look like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus himself took me to see GOD ! And guess what, Mom ? I got to sit on God's knee and talk to Him, like I was somebody important. That's when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you good bye and everything. But I already knew that wasn't allowed. Well, you know what Mom ? God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter. I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you. God said for me to give you the answer to one of the questions you asked Him 'Where was He when I needed him ?' 'God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross. He was right there, as He always is with all His children.

Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can see what I've written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank piece of paper. Isn't that cool ? I have to give God His pen back now He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm sure the food will be great.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore The cancer is all gone. I'm glad because I couldn't stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery ! How about that ?
