ഒരിക്കൽ ഭഗവാൻ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണനും ഗോപന്മാരും ഗോക്കളെ മേച്ചു വളരെ ദൂരം നടന്നതിനാൽ ഗോപന്മാർക്കു വളരെ വിശപ്പും ദാഹവും മൂലം ക്ഷീണം അനുഭവപ്പെടുകയും അവർ കൃഷ്ണനോട് തങ്ങളുടെ സ്ഥിതിയെപ്പറ്റി പറയുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഗോപന്മാരുടെ വിഷമം മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ ഭഗവാൻ അവിടെ അടുത്തു തന്നെയുള്ള ഒരു അശോക വൃക്ഷ ചുവട്ടിൽ എല്ലാവരെയും കൂട്ടി നിൽക്കുന്ന സമയത്തു കുറച്ചകലെയായി വേദമന്ത്രോച്ചാരണങ്ങളുടെ ധ്വനി കേൾക്കുകയാൽ തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരോട് അവിടെ കുറെ ബ്രാഹ്മണർ ഒരു യജ്ഞം നടത്തുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും നിങ്ങൾ അവിടെ ചെന്ന് കൃഷ്ണനും ബലരാമനും ഇവിടെ അടുത്തു വന്നിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും അവർക്കു വല്ലതും ഭക്ഷണം കിട്ടിയാൽ കൊള്ളാമെന്നുണ്ടെന്നു പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതായി അറിയിക്കുവാനും ഗോപബാലന്മാരോട് പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു. ഗോപബാലന്മാർ അതനുസരിച്ചു അവിടെ ചെല്ലുകയും ആ ബ്രാഹ്മണരോട് ഭഗവാൻ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചതിനെ അവരെ അറിയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. പക്ഷെ വിദ്യാമദത്താൽ പ്രഭാവിതരായിരുന്ന അവരിൽ ഇത് കോപത്തെ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയും ഗോപബാലന്മാരെ അവിടെനിന്നും ഓടിച്ചുവിടുകയും ചെയ്തു.നിരാശരായി തിരിച്ചെത്തിയ ഗോപബാലന്മാരോട് ഭഗവാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരായ ബ്രാഹ്മണിമാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്ന് ഇതേ വർത്തമാനം ഉണർത്തിക്കുന്നതിന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. കൃഷ്ണൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് കേട്ടപാടെ അവരെല്ലാം ഓടി തങ്ങളുടെ ഭർത്താക്കന്മരുടെ അടുത്തുചെന്നു ഈ കാര്യം പറഞ്ഞപ്പോഴും അവരിൽ അത് കാര്യമായ പ്രതികരണം ഒന്നും ഉളവാക്കിയില്ല. തങ്ങളുടെ ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരുടെ അജ്ഞത മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ അവർ യജ്ഞത്തിനായി തയ്യാറാക്കി വച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഭക്ഷണ സാധനങ്ങളെല്ലാമെടുത്തു ഗോപബാലന്മാരുടെ കൂടെ ഭഗവാൻ നിൽക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് പോവുകയും അവിടെയെത്തി എല്ലാം ഭഗവാന് സമർപ്പിച്ചു തങ്ങളുടെ ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരുടെ അവിവേകത്തെ പൊറുക്കണമെന്നു അപേക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഭഗവാൻ ആ ഭക്ഷണ സാധനങ്ങളെല്ലാമെടുത്തു ഗോപന്മാർക്കു നൽകി. അതിനു ശേഷം ബ്രാഹ്മണിമാരോട് നിങ്ങൾ എന്തിനാണ് ഇവിടെവരെ വന്നതെന്നും മറ്റും ചോദിച്ചു അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവരോട് തിരിച്ചുപോകാൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. പക്ഷെ അവർ തിരിച്ചുപോകാതെ അവിടെത്തന്നെ നിൽക്കുകയും ഇനി തങ്ങൾ തിരിച്ചുപോവില്ല എന്ന് ഭഗവാനോട് പറയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇവിടെ ഭഗവാൻ അവർക്കു നൽകുന്ന ഒരു ഉപദേശമുണ്ട്. ഇത് വളരെ വളരെ പ്രാധാന്യമർഹിക്കുന്ന ഒന്നാണ്. ഭഗവാൻ അവരോട് പറയുന്നത് ഭർതൃമതിയായ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയുടെ ഭർതൃ സ്ഥാനത്തു നില്കുന്നത് താൻ തന്നെയാണെന്നാണ്. ഭഗവാൻ അവരോട് പറയുന്നത് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരിൽ എന്നെത്തന്നെ ദർശിക്കണമെന്നും അതിനാൽ തിരിച്ചുചെന്നു സന്തോഷത്തോടുകൂടി ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരോട് കൂടി സന്തോഷകരമായി ഭഗവദ്ധ്യാനത്തോടുകൂടി ജീവിക്കുക എന്നുമാണ്. ''യാവത് പവനോ നിവസതി ദേഹേ" എന്ന ശങ്കരാചാര്യ സ്വാമികളുടെ ശ്ലോകം ഈ ഘട്ടത്തെ ആധാരമാക്കിയുള്ളതാണ്. ശങ്കരാചാര്യ സ്വാമികളുടെ സൂക്ഷ്മ ദർശിത്വം എത്രയേറെ ഉണ്ട് എന്നുള്ളത് ഇതിൽനിന്നും നമുക്ക് മനസിലാക്കാം. അപ്പോഴേക്കും തങ്ങൾക്കു പറ്റിയ തെറ്റ് മനസ്സിലാക്കിയ ബ്രാഹ്മണരും അവിടെയെത്തി ഭഗവാനെ സാഷ്ടാംഗം പ്രണമിച്ചു. ഈ ഘട്ടം വായിക്കുമ്പോൾ നമുക്ക് ആദ്യം തോന്നുന്നത് നാം അമ്പലങ്ങളിൽ എന്തിനാണ് വഴിപാട് കഴിക്കുന്നത്?അതൊക്കെ ആർക്കെങ്കിലും ദാനം ചെയ്‌താൽ പോരെ എന്നാണ്. ഇത് നമ്മുടെ മനസ്സിനെ ബാധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന താമസ്സിൽ നിന്നുദ്ഭവിക്കുന്ന ചിന്തയാണ്. ഭഗവാൻ എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ആദ്യം ഗോപന്മാരെ വേദ വിധികളോടെ യജ്ഞം ചെയ്യുന്ന ബ്രാഹ്മണരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വിടുന്നു? പലരും ഈ ലീലയെ ബ്രാഹ്മണത്വത്തെ തരംതാഴ്ത്തിക്കാണിക്കുവാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കാറുണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ ഇതിന്റെ യാഥാർഥ്യം അതല്ല. പുരുഷൻ അഹങ്കാരത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീകമാണ്. സ്ത്രീ ഭക്തിയുടെയും സമർപ്പണത്തിന്റെയും. വിവാഹം എന്നത് ഇത് രണ്ടിന്റെയും സംയോഗമാണ്. വിവാഹത്തോടുകൂടി പുരുഷൻ തന്റെ അഹങ്കാരത്തെ കുറച്ചു ഭക്തിയെയും സമർപ്പണഭാവത്തെയും തന്നിലേക്ക് സ്വീകരിക്കണം. ഇല്ലായെങ്കിൽ വെള്ളത്തിൽ വരച്ച വരക്കു സമമാണ് അവന്റെ ജീവിതം. ഉപനയനം മുതൽ വേദം ഉരുവിട്ടുപഠിക്കുന്ന ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ പ്രായേണ കർമങ്ങൾക്കു അമിതപ്രാധാന്യത്തെ നൽകി അഹങ്കാരത്തിൽ ഈശ്വരനെ തന്നെ മറന്നു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന അവസരങ്ങൾ ചിലപ്പോൾ ഉണ്ടായെന്നു വരും. നിത്യവും ഗായത്രിയും സന്ധ്യാവന്ദനവും ചെയ്യുന്ന ബ്രാഹ്മണന്റെ വിദ്യ ഈശ്വരനെ തന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ സാക്ഷാത്കരിക്കുന്നതിനു വേണ്ടിയാണ്. അതിനു കർമങ്ങളുടെ കൂടെ ഭക്തിയും അത്യാവശ്യമാണ് എന്ന് അവരെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടിയാണ് ഭഗവാൻ ഈ ലീല ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഭക്തിയില്ലാത്ത കർമം പാഴ് വേലയാണ് ത്യാഗരാജ സ്വാമികൾ തന്റെ ഒരു കീർത്തനത്തിൽ ഇതിനെ ശവത്തിനു ചെയ്യുന്ന അലങ്കാരമായിട്ടാണ് വർണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു.രണ്ടുകൂട്ടരുടെ അഹങ്കാരത്തെ ഭഗവാൻ ഇതുവരെ മാറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഒന്ന് ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്റെത് .ഇപ്പോൾ ബ്രാഹ്മണരുടേതും. ബ്രാഹ്മണർക്കു ഈ ശരീരത്തിൽ തന്നെ മൂന്നു ഭാവങ്ങളുണ്ട്. അതിനാൽ അവരുടേത് 'ത്രിവൃത്‌ ജന്മ്മം ' എന്ന് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. ശൗക്രം , സാവിത്രം ദൈത്യം എന്നിവയാണ് അവ. ഇത് മൂന്നും ബ്രാഹ്മണനിൽ അഹങ്കാരഹേതുവായി പരിണമിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാൽ അവർ ഇതിനെ മനസ്സിലാക്കി ജീവിക്കണമെന്നും ഭഗവാൻ പറയുന്നു. ആരാണോ വിഷ്ണുവിന് വിമുഖന്മാരായി കർമം ചെയ്യുന്നത് അവരുടെ കർമങ്ങൾ ത്യാഗരാജ സ്വാമി പറയുന്നതുപോലെ ശവത്തിൽ ചെയ്യുന്ന അലങ്കാരമാണ് എന്ന് മറ്റുള്ളവരും മനസ്സിലാക്കണം എന്നാണ് ഈ ലീലയുടെ ആന്തര്യം. ഭാര്യ ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരുടെ ജീവിതം പരസ്പര പൂരകങ്ങളായിരിക്കണമെന്നും ഈ ലീല നമ്മെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ദാമ്പത്യത്തിൽ രണ്ടുപേർക്കും തുല്യ പ്രാധാന്യതയുണ്ട്. അതേപോലെ ഈശ്വര സാക്ഷാത്കാരത്തിനുള്ള യജ്ഞമാണ് ദാമ്പത്യമെന്നും അത് കേവലം വൈകാരികം മാത്രമായ ഒരു ബന്ധമല്ല എന്നും ഈ ലീല നമ്മെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. അതല്ലായെങ്കിൽ അത് രാവണ മണ്ഡോദരിമാരുടേതുപോലെ ഒരു ജന്മം വ്യർത്ഥമാക്കിക്കളയാനെ ഉപകരിക്കുന്നുള്ളൂ.....ശ്രീ ഗുരുഭ്യോ നമ....

💞മിതമായ സമ്പത്ത്💞

ജീവിതം സുഖപ്രദമായിത്തീരാന്‍ ഒരാള്‍ക്ക് എത്ര സമ്പത്ത് വേണമെന്ന് ഒരിക്കല്‍ ഒരു ശിഷ്യന്‍ തന്റെ ഗുരുവിനോട് ചോദിച്ചു . മഹാൻ പക്ഷേ, മറുപടിയൊന്നും പറഞ്ഞില്ല. പകരം വീട്ടറയില്‍ ചെന്ന് ഒരു സഞ്ചിയില്‍ അല്‍പം കോഴിമുട്ടയുമായി വന്നു.

 അതില്‍നിന്ന് ഒന്നെടുത്ത് അവനു കൊടുത്തു. അവനത് സന്തോഷത്തോടെ വാങ്ങി. ഉടനെ രണ്ടാമതൊന്നുകൂടി കൊടുത്തു. അതും പ്രയാസമേതുമില്ലാതെ സ്വീകരിച്ചു. മൂന്നാമതൊന്നുകൂടി കൊടുത്തപ്പോള്‍ അതും വാങ്ങി. നാലാമത്തേതും വാങ്ങാതിരുന്നില്ല. പക്ഷേ, അഞ്ചാമതും കൊടുത്തപ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ പ്രയാസപ്പെട്ടു.

മുട്ട എങ്ങനെ വാങ്ങണമെന്നറിയാതെ കുഴങ്ങി. ഒടുവില്‍ ഇരുകൈകളും ചേര്‍ത്തിവച്ച് എങ്ങനെയോ അതു വാങ്ങി. അദ്ദേഹം  അവിടെയും നിര്‍ത്തിയില്ല. ആറാമതൊന്നുകൂടി കൊടുത്തു. അപ്പോള്‍ വെപ്രാളപ്പെട്ട് അവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു:
''നിര്‍ത്തൂ , നിര്‍ത്തൂ. ഇതെല്ലാംകൂടി എന്റെ കൈയില്‍നിന്ന് ഇപ്പോള്‍ വീണുടഞ്ഞു പോകും..''

ശിഷ്യന്റെ ഈ വെപ്രാളം കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍ ഗുരു ഒന്ന് പുഞ്ചിരിച്ചിട്ടു പറഞ്ഞു:
''ആദ്യത്തെ നാലു മുട്ടകള്‍ നീ സസന്തോഷം സ്വീകരിച്ചു. കാരണം, അവ നിന്റെ കൈകളിലൊതുങ്ങുന്നവയായിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ അഞ്ചാമത്തേതും ആറാമത്തേതും തന്നപ്പോള്‍ നീ അസ്വസ്ഥനായി. കാരണം, നിനക്കവ താങ്ങാന്‍ കഴിയാത്തവയായിരുന്നു. ഇതാണ് ജീവിതത്തില്‍ സമ്പത്തിന്റെ കാര്യവും.

സമ്പത്ത് മിതമായാല്‍ ജീവിതം സുഖപ്രദമാകും. അമിതമായാല്‍ ദുഃഖപൂര്‍ണവുമാകും. അതിനാല്‍ ആവശ്യത്തിനു മാത്രം സമ്പാദിക്കുക. ബാക്കി സമയം ജീവിക്കാന്‍ നോക്കുക....''

Story Telling : Hiring Donkey

One day The king wanted to go fishing, and he asked the royal weather forecaster the forecast for the next few hours.

The palace meteorologist assured him that there was no chance of rain.

So the king and the queen went fishing.

On the way he met a man with a fishing pole riding on a donkey, and he asked the man if the fish were biting.

The fisherman said, "Your Majesty, you should return to the palace! In just a short time. I expect a huge rain storm."

The king replied: "I hold the palace meteorologist in high regard. He is an educated and experienced professional.

Besides, I pay him very high wages. He gave me a very different forecast. I trust him."

So the king continued on his way. However, in a short time a torrential rain fell from the sky. The King and Queen were totally soaked..

Furious, the king returned to the palace and gave the order to fire the meteorologist. Then he summoned the fisherman and offered him the prestigious position of royal forecaster.

The fisherman said, "Your Majesty, I do not know anything about forecasting. I obtain my information from my donkey. If I see my donkey's ears drooping, it means with certainty that...it will rain."

So the king hired the donkey.

And thus began the practice of hiring dumb asses to work in influential positions.

The practice is unbroken to this date.😜

A Guruji was teaching his students how to empty and free their mind:
"The Guru was walking through the market place with his disciples.
They saw a man dragging a cow by a rope.
Guru told the man to wait and asked his disciples to surround them.
“I am going to teach you something” and continued...
“ *Tell me who is bound to whom?* Is the cow bound to this man or the man is bound to the cow?"
The disciples said without hesitation “Of course the cow is bound to the man!. The man is the master. He is holding the rope. The cow has to follow him wherever he goes. The man is the master and the cow is the slave.”
“Now watch this”, said the Guruji and took a pair of scissors from his bag and cut the rope.
The cow ran away from the master and the man ran after his cow. “Look, what is happening”, said the Guru
_“Do you see who the Master is? The cow is not at all interested in this man. The cow in fact, is trying to escape from this man._
*This is the case with our MIND.*
Like the cow, all the non-sense that we carry inside is not interested in us. WE ARE INTERESTED IN IT, we are keeping it together somehow or the other. We are going crazy trying to keep it all together under our control.
The moment we lose interest in all the garbage filled in our head, and the moment we understand the futility of it, it will start to disappear. Like the cow, it will escape and disappear.”

Bhishma Pithamaha's Advice to Humanity

Bhismadeva advised for all human beings nine qualifications: 

• Not to become angry 
• Not to lie 
• To equally distribute wealth 
• To forgive 
• To beget children only by one's legitimate wife 
• To be pure in mind and hygienic in body 
• Not to be inimical toward anyone 
• To be simple 
• To support servants or subordinates. 

Bhismadeva also advices this: 

1. To get freedom from anger, one should learn how to forgive. 
2. To be free from unlawful desires one should not make plans. 
3. By spiritual culture one is able to conquer sleep. 
4. By tolerance only can one conquer desires and avarice. 
5. Disturbances from various diseases can be avoided by regulated diets. 
6. By self-control one can be free from false hopes. 
7. Money can be saved by avoiding undesirable association. 
8. By practice of yoga one can control hunger. 
9. Worldliness can be avoided by culturing the knowledge of impermanence. 
10. Dizziness can be conquered by rising up. 
11. False arguments can be conquered by factual ascertainment. 
12. Talkativeness can be avoided by gravity and silence. 
13. By prowess one can avoid fearfulness. 
14. Perfect knowledge can be obtained by self-cultivation.

On the other hand self-realisation leads one to unity, love, freedom, peace, eternity, great inner relief and fulfilment and makes life Blissful!.

`Happiness? IT's the tip of your tail!'

A small kitten had just returned from cat philosophy school. He was running around in circles, trying to catch his tail. A seasoned old alley cat, asked the kitten what she was doing.
"I have learnt that happiness is in the tip of your tail, and I am trying to catch mine, so that I will always be happy."
The old Tom replied: "You have learnt well. I never received a fancy education, but I too have heard that happiness is in the tip of my tail. What I have also discovered is that if you forget about trying to catch it, it will follow you wherever you go."

Moral: we must decide what to focus on and what we should ignore. If we chase after a wrong goal, we will end up getting exhausted.
